Black Wolf Knives

From the age of about 5yrs old I have
owned and used knives almost everyday growing up on the land being a farmers son.
I have been an avid hunter since young, going out with dad into the bush for sometimes weeks at a time, we have hunted all kinds of game. later on I used to go out on my own, hunting for the table, we ate all the meat we hunted, nothing went to waste. I even spent some time as a professional hunter for pet meat suppliers, so I have had my fair share of experience hunting, but I don't know it all,YET!
I have had many many, knives during my life from folders to fixed blades, small to big and apart from a very few, found them to be hard to use, uncomfortable to hold, difficult to sharpen and keep an edge on. Black Wolf Knives was born out of my desire to make knives
especially for hunting and the purpose to which they will be used and hold a sharp edge. I came up with my designs by trial and error, testing and extensive research & development.
I have made the Alpha+ as a skinner and breakdown knife, the Cub as a easy carry knife for small game and also camp work and the Pup/EDC as a neck knife for those times you need a quick small knife, it is either worn around the neck or on your belt with the supplied loop.
All the sheaths are designed in such away that you can mount the knives in any orientation Left or Right handed or attached to your gear again in any 360 orientation as the blades are held tight and will not release on their own.
  • Blade steel, we have multiple options available now and we have settled on the standard ones we will offer going forward unless we have opportunity to add further materials
  • Sheaths, we use original Kydex brand of materials in various colors and finishes, 2020  we have in-house made Leather sheaths available for all knives
  • 2020 - 2021 will see further blade designs being released, which is exciting as it will add further options to the brand.
  • Chefs Knives series will be added  2020-2021
  • BushCraft range is now available and will be added too as we progress through 2020
Blade  steels which are  High Carbon which do require some care, clean and dry after use and apply some food safe oil to protect from the elements, also make sure you keep the sheaths clean and dry before returning the knife to the sheath.
All my knives are hand made, hand assembled and hand finished in my small shop in Otawara Tochigi Japan, this then
necessitates for the sheaths to be custom made and finished for each knife.

Supporting BWK in our new adventure into Bush Craft Knives and Accessories.  Scott bings his interest in the outdoors, enjoyment of creating and growing bushcraft knowledge to help create the knives and products you will find here in the Bravo SK BushCraft series

Scott:

I am excited and proud to have been asked to be part of the group and bring my bushcraft influences to BWK designs. I am looking forward to future designs we create together and putting them through their paces. In my youth my brother & friends and I would spend hours wandering through and playing in the fields and forests behind our house. About 4 years after learning about ‘bushcraft’ I have returned ‘to the woods’. Still at the beginning of my bushcraft journey, I enjoy every chance to put things I’ve learned to use in the field.“
